Samsung has become the most trusted brand in India as per the study by Brand Trust Report. Trust Research Advisory has created the Brand Trust Report which lists Samsung, Sony, Tata, LG, Nokia in the top 5 spots for the most trusted brand. Nokia which was in the 1st position in 2013 has moved to 5th place. TATA, Hero, Reliance & M&M are the top Indian brands in the list.
The current year’s report is a result of more than 15,000 hours of fieldwork. Consumer electronics, BFSI, FMCG, Automobile & others are some of the different industries in the brand list.It was conducted across 16 Indian cities between July and November 2013 which has resulted in more than 20000 Unique brands.

internet.org, a Non Profit initiative by Facebook, Ericsson, MediaTek, Nokia, Opera, Qualcomm and Samsung plan to bring internet access to everyone. Two thirds of the world is not yet online & this initiative plans to bring it online. Recently Google launched helium ballons to bring internet access to the world. Internet.org partners will join forces to develop technology that decreases the cost of delivering data to people worldwide, and helps expand internet access in underserved communities. Developers, mobile operators and device manufacturers will work together to introduce business models that give people more ways to go online.

Building better networks, cloud computing, building systems to cache data efficiently, simpler mobile apps & others are some of the ways to reduce the cost of data delivery. Many tech companies, univ research projects & govt agencies are already working on bringing cheaper internet to the Masses. Apple remains the top Smartphone brand in the US. This is followed by Samsung, HTC, Motorola, LG, BlackBerry, Nokia, Huawei & others. Samsung has recently introduced Galaxy S4. Several brands are coming up with new android based smartphones in the coming months.

Twitter’s Vine has become the latest to be used for marketing activities by the brands. Several campaigns have already been done on vine. Vine is a Twitter’s 6-second mobile video recording application. Recently Vine was released for Google’s Android. Samsung, world leader in smartphones, has used Vine effectively for its marketing activity.
The vine itself consists of 3 different videos on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. It also used the hashtag #galaxyvine for this creative campaign. This has been used as a part of Samsung’s marketing activity to download & share vine videos on their Galaxy smartphones.
