Ipsos : Google is India’s most influential brand

According to the study by global research firm Ipsos, Google ranks on the 1st and is followed by
Facebook, Gmail, Microsoft and Samsung
in the top five. Flipkart is the top ranked Indian brand at 7th place. The other two Indian brands are – SBI and Airtel- 9th & 10th. US-based Amazon is placed at 8.

Foreign brands like Google and Facebook rank on top in terms of their influence. This shows Indian brands need to improve their overall marketing offerings to improve their confidence levels. In India, study involved, asking more than 1,000 Indians online to assess more than 100 brands.

According to research conducted by YouGov, the majority of young people today want to work at tech and web companies. The index rankings reveal that Google is the most sought after employer for millennials, followed by Amazon and Netflix.

Only three non-tech/web brands make YouGov’s top-10 and they are Nike, Disneyland/Disney World and Johnson & Johnson.

According to comScore data, an average user in the United States spent less than 3 minutes a day using Twitter on mobile devices in the fourth quarter 2015 – Facebook sees 10 times that engagement, as our chart illustrates. To make things worse, Twitter’s mobile engagement has been declining for seven straight quarters until the end of 2015 and supposedly continued doing so in the first three months of 2016.
